Course Description
This interactive workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to Lean thinking and its foundational tools. Participants will learn how to shift their operational mindset to view processes through the lens of customer value, systematically identifying and removing non-value-added activities.
Through real-world insights and structural frameworks, participants will explore how to optimize workflow, manage inventory efficiently, and establish an organized workplace that sustains long-term improvements.

- Lean Thinking Foundations: Dive into core Lean principles, focusing on waste reduction, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement culture.
- Customer Value Optimization: Learn to identify what truly adds value from the customer’s perspective while systematically eliminating waste.
- The Kaizen Mindset: Explore the power of continuous improvement and learn how small, incremental shifts create massive organizational impact over time.
- Just-In-Time (JIT) & Flow: Understand JIT principles to optimize production flow, balance inventory management, and establish pull systems aligned with actual customer demand.
- Workplace Organization (5S): Master the 5S framework to organize, clean, and standardize workspaces for maximum efficiency and safety.
- Lean Toolkit Essentials: Familiarize yourself with practical, deployment-ready tools including Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, and Poka-Yoke (error proofing).
About the Instructor
Chad Arcand brings over 25 years of hands-on experience leading operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and comprehensive lean transformations. His diverse background spans early-stage growth companies, complex corporate acquisition integrations, and scaling operations across both small and large-scale enterprises.
Having held multiple leadership roles with global, multi-location responsibilities, Chad has successfully led, taught, and mentored cross-functional project teams across a wide spectrum of industries.
