Course Content: The objective of this course is to provide students with specific physical background and
engineering concepts underlying electric propulsion and its application to modern satellites.
Topics will include the physical principles, the practical designs, and the performance levels of electrically-powered space propulsion thrusters. Systems covered include: ion engines; pulsed and steady-state (fixed field) plasma and MHD thrusters, including Hall Thrusters, and others.
